HIA Department of Human Services

HIA provides advocacy services for people who have suffered as victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, or other Crime. If you or someone you care for has been victimized, please reach out for support. We are here to help and want to create a safer Hoonah. All services are confidential. If this is an after-hours emergency, please reach out to Hoonah Public Safety Department at (907)945-3655.

Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault

Please reach out if you or someone you love is a victim, or has been a victim, of domestic violence or Sexual Assault. We are here to help you go from simply surviving to thriving. We offer advocacy services, assistance with filling our orders of protection, filing reports/charges, housing assistance, education assistance, counseling resources, and referrals. All services are confidential. You do not have to file a report or charges to be eligible for services. Remember: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Crime Victim Services

Are you a victim of crime? Have you been a victim? A crime is an action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law. You do not have to file a report or charges to be eligible for services. The Victim Services program may be able to help. For more information or questions, stop by the Human Services offices.
